Top Ten Attractions To Visit While

Staying At

Dixie Orange County

...and hear what guests who have visited these attractions have to say about them!

NUMBER 10: Huntington Beach Pier

The Pier is so beautiful and peaceful. The views are spectacular and I enjoy the many smiles from people visiting from all over the world. I'm from out of state and have been a local for decades. Every day I either visit the Pier or drive by, never taking the view for granted. -Jessica Parker, Florida, USA

NUMBER NINE: Downtown Disney

A great place for more shopping, dining, and entertainment options. It's free to walk in and enjoy and get some of that Disney magic without paying for a theme park ticket. -Sara Chen, China

NUMBER EIGHT: Crystal Cove State Park

Crystal Cove State Park is located along the coast between Newport Beach and Laguna Beach. You can walk along the trails on the cliffs or walk down to the beach. There are lots of scenic views along the way. There are parking lots and restrooms at the entrance points. There is an admission cost depending on how long you want to stay. If you walk on the beach, there are lots of rocks to climb and tide pools to explore. -Tony Alvarez, Mexico

NUMBER SEVEN: Pageant of the Masters

We try not to miss this each summer. It's an extremely unique, entertaining, artistic masterpiece. The art fair on the grounds is exceptional and fun to browse before the show and during the intermission. Live music is played and wine and snacks are served. For the show, it's nice to cozy up with a blanket and binoculars (to spot the people in the frozen art scenes). A magical experience. -Melissa Colins, Los Angeles, USA

NUMBER SIX: Newport Beach

Visited on a hot sunny day for the first time. It was a lovely experience. The sand and water were very clean. The souvenir shops had really nice things in there. Lots to choose from. Collected lots of shells. Would definitely recommend this beach and can't wait to visit again! Enjoy the different communities of Newport Beach: the harbor, Balboa Island, Balboa peninsula, Corona Del Mar, Lido Island, Newport ``Gold`` Coast, and Newport Center with Fashion Island. -Robert P, Germany

NUMBER FIVE: Balboa Island Ferry

The Balboa Ferry is an icon and beacon of nostalgia, taking you back 50 years as you putt-putt across the Newport Harbor to go from the Balboa Peninsula to Balboa Island (or vice versa). The ride is short, so have your camera ready, and remember, it operates like an elevator, in that all of the cars on the ferry (that came across) have to drive off first before you can drive on. Just pay attention to the stop light right before you board. This is a somewhat well-kept secret. Locals use more than tourists and are very affordable and unique way to see Newport Harbor and get on the water. -Jason Hudson, New York, USA

NUMBER FOUR: Mission San Juan Capistrano

We visited this Beautiful Mission as we drove the California Coast with our teenage children. It was beautiful. The photos I took at this place were my favorite and they are framed and hanging in my home as a reminder. The flowers and plants were stunning. The swallows/birds return to the mission each year around March. The Great Stone church is still amazing even though it is in a state of ruins. There are many places to have a nice lunch within walking distance. -Juliet, Rome

NUMBER THREE: Knott's Berry Farm

Really great Theme Park for Families and Thrill Seekers. If you don't want to pay the prices for Disney and still want a great experience this is the Park to go to. For Thrill Seekers: Ghost Rider, Xcelerator, and Supreme Scream. For families, there are a lot of family-friendly attractions. The food and drinks here are great, make sure to get the Knotts Berry Punch, super delicious drink you can only get at Knotts Berry Farm. -Juan Martinez, Nevada, USA

NUMBER TWO: Disney California Adventure Park

I LOVE Disney California Adventure. Best rides here are Toy Story Mania, Radiator Springs Racers, and California Screaming. They took out my favorite ride Tower Of Terror for Guardians Of The Galaxy, made me super sad. Other than that the food, experience, and rides and just like Disneyland, maybe a little more extreme. Unlike Disneyland, there are not as many rides here so the best way to attend this park is by Park Hopper, I would never see it feasible to buy a Day ticket for California Adventure, there's just not enough to do. -Ryan H, Utah, USA

NUMBER ONE: Disneyland

Every single person deserves a visit to Disney land. Truly magical, wonderful, and delightful. This is for all ages. -Leena, Hong Kong
